This is a personal site, created by someone who spends a lot of time with computers in a professional capacity, but does not want to talk about computing in a professional manner.

This is where I come to bullshit and say dumb things about computers while I’m thinking through problems. That’s really it. I needed a place to do longform writing that wasn’t under the control of some stupid platform and didn’t have the distraction of comments from strangers, and I didn’t want to put it on my professional site, not for any nefarious reason I just think better without the distraction of wondering what my colleagues and bosses might think of what I’m saying here.

And what I’m saying here is nothing terribly exciting unless you’re into the deep magic of Linux, especially the parts relating to GUI (which is not magical at all I’ll grant you). Oh, you have opinions about what I’m writing here? I don’t care, go post on your own blog about it. Don’t send me an email, I won’t respond.
